Rockettes Christmas Spectacular - December 21, 2006

The Rockettes from NYC Radio City did a great performance in Houston. The whole show was great but the manger scene with Christmas carols at the end was outstanding. It really puts you in the Christmas spirit.

Donna and I enjoyed dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen before the show in the Houston Theater District. The weather was cool with some rain so the valet parking was a big plus. The benefits of a large city can be appreciated when you can see a show like this just 30 minutes from home.

Donna's Birthday - December 13, 2006

We celebrated Donna's birthday by going to the Ashland Retiree Christmas luncheon and then met Dan and Tammy with the grandkids for dinner.



Dinner was at Los Cucos Mexican Cafe and they were having a special margareta. The girls even gave me a new cowboy hat. A good time was had by all and Donna had a birthday to remember.

Silver Eagles - December 11, 2006

It is time for chicken wings and beer again so our Silver Eagles will meet for lunch at Hooter's on FM 1960 at I-45 to enjoy fine food in pleasant surroundings.

The second Monday of each month is the day we retired guys have wings and beer at Hooters. We go at 1:15 pm to avoid the lunch hour rush. Many are from our subdivision but we also are joined by area friends.

Santa's Wonderland - Dec 5, 2006

Our Cypresswood Fifty Plus Club will use a Harris County Precinct 4 bus to visit Santa's Wonderland on December 5. We will enjoy a buffet dinner and then do a hayride to view the Christmas lights. We leave the clubhouse in our subdivision at 5 pm and will return by midnight.
