Thursday, Oct 21, 2010 - Ashland Retiree Luncheon

Our Ashland Retiree Club met at Rudi Lechners Restaurant for some good German food. We discussed a trip to the see "Secrets of the Silk Road" at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in November. We also have our December Christmas party at Spring Creek Country Club set for Dec 8.

On Friday, I get to visit my cardiologist and have some blood work done while fasting and then have a test to see how the blood is flowing. Donna has an appointment with her pulmonary specialist in the same building to see how the fluid on her lung is doing.

Silver Eagles - Monday, Oct 11, 2010

It is time for chicken wings and beer again so our Silver Eagles will meet for lunch at Hooter's on FM 1960 at I-45 to enjoy fine food in pleasant surroundings.

The second Monday of each month is the day we retired guys have wings and beer at Hooters. We go at 1:15 pm to avoid the lunch hour rush. Many are from our subdivision but we also are joined by area friends.

Tuesday, Oct 5, 2010 - Pct 4 Bus Trip

With perfect Fall weather, Donna and I are going on a trip to see Washington on the Brazos, birthplace of Texas above Brenham and the a good lunch at Volare Italian Restaurant in Brenham. In the afternoon, we visit the Chappell Hill Lavender Farm.

Sunday was Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen where we ordered 6 seafood platters for the 7 of us. Since 3 were small grandsons, we all had plenty to eat.
