March 29, 2012 - Ashland Retiree Bus Trip

Our Ashland Retiree Club did a Pct 3 bus trip for a tour of the Bluebell Creamery in Brenham. We had lunch at Volare Italian Restaurant in Brenham. After lunch, our bus drove the backroads to Independence to look for wildflowers in the area on our return to Houston. With a early wet and warm spring, there are many flowers already in bloom. West Loop 390 above Independence had large fields of bluebonnets as well as many other flowers. We drove on down to Chappell Hill to view other fields of flowers.
