Homecoming - Saturday, May 6, 2006

We will drive over to central Louisiana on Thursday to visit family. The extended family goes to Liberty Chapel Cemetery every year on the first Saturday before the first Sunday in May. That makes it late April or very early May. This old family cemetery is where most of my relatives are buried and it will be my final resting place.

We will have dinner at Mary Dawn and Carl's on Saturday evening. It may be shrimp and not crawfish this year (perhaps both).
Anyway, Donna and I will be there and Dan and Tammy will be driving over with the boys as well as Vera (Tammy's Mom) and Jack and Sooz (Tammy's Dad and Stepmom) will attend also as we plan to have Ted Nugent baptized at Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday morning. Deborah will be there and Candance (Deb's daughter) is flying in from NYC.

People gather from all over the country that have family buried at Liberty Chapel Cemetery. It is a beautiful peaceful spot that dates from 1849. Click on the link to the web site in the first paragraph.
