There is oil production in Belize and the government has built cement streets and improved the roads . I was impressed with the changes that I see in Belize City and the trip 35 miles out to the Altun Ha sacred site for the Maya civilization was worth it. I finished my 36 session of Cardiac Rehab on Friday. The exercise was good for me with a weight loss of 9 pounds and a reduction in body fat index. Now I will sign up for the YMCA to use their exercise room and pool. Donna said she will join in my program but that will remain to be seen,,, All of the cruise ships have exercise equipment so I can continue my program while at sea. We have 3 more cruises booked for this year. Our next one will be on the Carnival Magic with Dan, Tammy and the grandsons this summer. This is the newest and largest vessel in the Carnival fleet.
Our Cypresswood 50 Plus Club did a Pct 4 bus trip to Galveston. Our first stop in Galveston was lunch at Shrimp N Stuff Seafood Restaurant. After lunch we drove to Pier 22 to take the Historic Harbor and Dolphin Watch Boat Tour on the Seagull 11. The Seagull 11 is a modern 50ft vessel designed strictly for water tours, it has both protected and open viewing areas. U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Transfers "Kings Pointer" to Texas Maritime Academy. They do not have a space to dock this vessel as their pier is under repair. The ship has been renamed "General Barnacle" and is now in Galveston. After we returned from the Harbor Tour we visited the Marine Museum or walked up to the Strand. The bus then returned our club to Cypresswood.
